Guide of FoneGeek iPhone Data Recovery

Part 1: Recover Data from iOS Device

You can recover almost all lost data from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch directly without backup, such as text messages, iMessages, photos, videos, call history, contacts, voice memos, notes, WhatsApp/WeChat/Kik/Viber/Line messages, etc. The supported devices include iPhone 11/11 Pro/ XR/XS/X/8/8 Plus/7/7 Plus/6s/6s Plus/6/6 Plus, etc. You are also able to preview the lost data before the recovery.

Step 1. Connect iOS Device to Computer

Launch FoneGeek iPhone Data Recovery after the downloading and select ‘Recover’ tab on the welcome screen.

Click on ‘Recover from iOS Device’ and ensure that your iPhone or iPad is connected with the computer via an USB cable. This software will detect the device if it is trusted.

Step 2. Select the Types of Files to Recover

Then, choose one or multiple types of data you need to recover. After the selection, click on ‘Start Scan’ and the program will check the deleted data on your iOS device.

Step 3. Preview and Recover Lost Data on iPhone

After the short scanning, all the deleted and undeleted data will be generated in category. To quickly find the deleted files, you can filter them out by enable "Only display the deleted items" option. You can also preview each file by clicking on the specific tab in the sidebar. Finally, select the files you want and click on ‘Recover’ to save them on your computer.

Part 2: Recover from iTunes Backup File

Step 1. Choose the Right Recovery Mode

After running FoneGeek, select "Recover" and click on "Recover iOS Data".

Step 2. Select a Suitable iTunes Backup to Scan

You will see 3 recovery options. Select ‘Recover from iTunes Backup File’ and choose the most suitable iTunes backup file from all the backup files detected by this program.

Step 3. Preview and Recover Lost Data from iTunes Backup

Start to scan the iTunes backup by clicking on ‘Start Scan’. The process to extract data from the selected iTunes backup will finish within minutes.

The scanning results will be displayed clearly in categories. You can check each item and save it to computer by tapping on ‘Recover to Computer’ or restore it to your iOS device by tapping on ‘Restore to Device’.

Part 3: Recover from iCloud Backup File

Step 1. Select the Correct Recovery Mode

After running FoneGeek, select "Recover" and click on "Recover iOS Data".

Step 2. Log into iCloud Account and Download iCloud Backup

Click on "Recover from iCloud Backup File" tab and enter the iCloud account details to log in to this iCloud account.

Note: FoneGeek will never keep a record of your Apple ID credentials.

The program will soon detect all the backup files created with this iCloud account. Choose one iCloud backup file that you decide to recover data from and click on ‘Download’.

Step 3. Download the Selected Data from iCloud Backup

When the program finished to download the selected files, you can preview these files and click on ‘Recover from Computer’ to store the recovered files on your computer.
